    Mother’s Day

    Posted in: Blog

Normally, I am not one for celebrating holidays such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and getting caught up with all the commercialism of the occasion, but I do love getting some flowers and enjoying a lunch with my mother and mother-in-law.  Since becoming a mother myself, it’s damn hard work, so now I can appreciate being given gifts!!! HAHA. But really, a kiss and a hug from my babies and an “I Love You” far outweighs any gift that can be bought. So this Mother’s Day, I hope everyone gets to spend some time with, or are thinking about, their own mothers (and grandmothers) and thanks them for all their hard work and sacrifice. I know I will be.

And so I leave you with one of my other babies….my fur baby. Byron was my ‘number one son’ until Stephanie was born, and he’s had his nose out of joint ever since. Hence the look on his face….

I have been such a bad blogger. Too much going on and not enough hours in the day.

I also had a birthday in amongst it all, and we went to Erina for some Yum Cha, one of my favourites ways to eat out.

There are only two places in Newcastle to go for Yum Cha, and I’ve tried out both, the food was great, but the atmosphere just wasn’t the same. Both are just in restaurants and don’t have the ladies wheeling around the trolleys laden with food, which to me, really is what makes the yum cha experience. So we headed to Erina, to The Dragon’s Door, and it was just what I was after

And just because she’s super cute….
